The Challenge
Our team needed to combine unfamiliar IoT and mobile technologies into a coherent flood-awareness experience within a two-month project.
The Solution
We built a React Native application that brought location-based weather, sensor data, and flood warnings into one mobile interface.
Process & Approach
- Defined the user flow around current conditions, flood-risk monitoring, and clear alerts.
- Integrated external weather data and IoT sensor inputs into the shared application.
- Iterated as a cross-functional team on guest access, responsive screens, and light and dark themes.
Results & Impact
The project produced a working Expo build and gave the team practical experience delivering a mobile and IoT system together.
